History
Long ago, the hat and bonnet were meaning of elegance, social status, femininity, distinction and power. Today in Buenos Aires, in a small studio in Quintana 591, Cecil Sain builds small dreams for women through their creations that are nothing but a reflection of her intimate appreciation of life.

"I studied painting, drawing and was collector of vintage clothing from around the world. Thanks to my vintage I opened several stores in Buenos Aires that always included a small chic hats editions. I wanted to do something specific which has no limits to creativity, which is completely handmade and personalized. Throughout life, I loved having an accessory on my head, like scarves, turbans, headdresses and hats. That's how I started, I hired the best hat makers that were in Buenos Aires and learned from them the metier. It was a revealing moment, I realized that the process of making a hat gives as a final result a work of art and that is what energizes me to start another."

The materials used by Cecil Sain vary in each piece. No hat is exactly like the other, because each piece is worth by itself. Using materials brought from Euope and the United States: silks, organza, cloth, cotton, linen, and plastic straws.

The common denominator that operates as a hallmark throughout the collection are unique pieces of the decades '20; '30; and '40. Cecilia Sain is responsible for transporting these items to current design and combining them with contemporary art.

Cecil Sain is constantly producing new pieces. The customer can choose any of the collection, but the idea is also generated on demand with the personalized attention necessary for every woman.
